Visa Overview: Hong Kong
Visitors:

• U.S. citizens:
Who possess a valid U.S. passport and are going to Hong Kong for business or tourism may stay in Hong Kong for 90 days without a visa.
• Chinese citizens:
1. Who do not possess foreign residency can transit/stay in Hong Kong for 7 days without an entry permit if they have the return fight tickets. If they wish to stay over seven days, they must apply for approval through the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
2. Who possessing foreign residency can apply for a Hong Kong Entry Permit for up to 14 days at the Chinese Embassy and Consulates. If they wish to stay for over fourteen days, they must apply for approval through the Hong Kong Immigration Department.
• The residence from all the other countries who wish to enter Hong Kong for employment, investment, education, training or residence must obtain an entry visa before coming to Hong Kong.

• Visa Application Form:
Print out any kind of Visa Applicaiton form provide on the right side of this page, fill out completed, signed, and dated.
• Travel Document:
photocopies of your travel document containing your personal particulars, its date of issue, date of expiry, details of any re-entry visa held (if applicable).
• Photo:
1 recent color passport photo.
Must be two-inch half length, bareheaded and full-faced photo. No laser photos are accepted.
• Cost:
Payment may different due to the postage.

It normally takes 4 to 6 weeks to process an entry visa application. Please refrain from making enquiries about the progress of the application unless it is absolutely necessary, as it may delay the processing of the application.
